The closure of chapters 8 and 29 shows that Montenegro can achieve even the most ambitious plans, including the goal of closing all chapters by the end of the year, said Minister of European Affairs Maida Gorčević.
At the Intergovernmental Conference in Brussels, Montenegro provisionally closed two more negotiation chapters: Chapter 8 - Competition and Chapter 29 - Customs Union.
Gorčević stated on the X network that as of today, Montenegro has more closed chapters than open ones.
She said that the adoption of European standards from Chapters 8 and 29 ensures full transparency of state aid, market protection from unfair competition, and more modern customs control.
"Today's achievement shows that our country can achieve even the most ambitious plans, including the goal of closing all chapters by the end of the year," said Gorčević.
