Serbian Minister of Public Investments Darko Glišić called Montenegro a "Croatian protectorate", assessing that the state is governed from Zagreb.
He said this while commenting on the fact that the chargé d'affaires at the Embassy of Montenegro in Croatia attended the commemoration of the 31st anniversary of Operation Storm in Knin.
"It is a state governed from Zagreb, in which they cannot make a single decision without asking Plenkovic. They have no independence and cannot make any decisions without Zagreb's permission," Glišić said, as reported on the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) website.
He said that "Storm" will be celebrated by those who based their state and politics on blood, destruction and killing, and that, as the statement says, "all those who believe that the politics of killing, blood and evil is good politics" should join them. It added that everyone should gather in one place so that they know "who all these people are for whom killing children and gouging out their eyes is a policy they are proud of."
Glišić said that before 2020, Montenegro was a "mafia protectorate, and now it is a Croatian protectorate."
"I just hope that the citizens have realized in recent years that the people who lead Montenegro today are not well-intentioned. Also, their economic and every other progress is very questionable. They have created many problems and traps for themselves that they will have to pay for," he claims.
Glišić assessed that the president of the Democratic People's Party, Milan Knеžеvić, on the other hand, has shown that he is the "true leader" of Serbs in Montenegro.
Stefanović: They can't stand that Montenegro is rapidly moving towards the EU
Deputy President of the Freedom and Justice Party, Borko Stefanović, said that Glišić had joined the numerous verbal attacks on Montenegro, which have been carried out for days by Vučić together with the regime's media.
"The radical government of Vučić and Glišić is doing what it only knows how to do - spreading hatred and provoking conflicts and pitting Serbia against everyone in the region. The Glišićs and Vučićs cannot stand the fact that Montenegro is rapidly moving towards full membership in the European Union and that it has long overtaken us, thanks to the corruption, hatred and ignorance of the progressive government. Jealousy and fist-fighting cannot be state policy, except for Šešelj and his political children," Stefanović said.
He points out that "progressives" cannot stand Montenegro's success and that they cannot bear the fact that "the people and state closest to us will soon be part of a club where people go to prison for corruption and theft."
"Vučić's clones cannot possibly accept that Montenegro is an independent state by the will of its citizens. In Serbia, for Vučić's regime, anyone who is not with them is neither a Serb nor a human being, but a traitor to their country. They wear hatred and crime like medals, turning us into a country of black scarves," adds the SSP MP.
Stefanović states that Serbia was a strong and happy state only when it was a rallying point, when it was a role model for others in freedoms and rights, when it was a proud European state.
"Today it is still run by haters and arsonists. Not for much longer. Since I know that progressives like to quote the great Njegoš and misquote him, let them try to understand these words of his: 'Evil, envy, a hellish inheritance, this puts a man lower than a scoundrel'," Stefanović concludes.
