Young Montenegrin handball players have shown the strength of unity, team spirit and character, said the President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović, and said that they are the new force of Montenegrin sports.
He congratulated the Montenegrin women's cadet handball team, which won the silver medal at the World Championship for players under 18 in Romania.
"Dear lionesses, I congratulate you on the medal you won with fight, character and heart," Milatović said in a post on the X network.
He pointed out that until the last second, the handball players showed the strength of unity, team spirit, and how bravely and proudly they fought for the coat of arms of Montenegro.
"You are the new strength of our sport, girls who will write the most beautiful pages of Montenegrin handball and be role models for generations to come," Milatović emphasized.
He told the national team to be proud of their success and that all of Montenegro is with them.
"This is just the beginning of great things that await you," concluded Milatović.
