Vučić: Podgorica wants to re-educate Serbs, they want the worst possible relations with Serbia

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić stated that Podgorica wants to re-educate Serbs and wants relations with Serbia to get worse.

Commenting on the relations between the two countries, Vučić also said that Montenegro is always the first to adopt sanctions packages against Russia.

According to the Politika portal, during a visit to Lučani, journalists asked Vučić "what can the Serbian people in Montenegro expect given that the analysis published in 'Vijesti': 'They should be patient with Croats, and keep their distance with Serbia'?"

"They in Pogorica are leading that policy, they want to re-educate the 33 percent of Serbs who live there so that they will not be Serbs again in the next censuses, and as far as Serbia is concerned, they want the worst possible relations with Serbia. You don't have to look at their institutional moves towards Serbia, which are horrifying, it's enough to look at their media scene and it's clear to you that Serbia is the target of the most brutal campaign of six, seven days," Vučić said.

He added that Montenegro is occasionally mentioned among them, and that in Montenegro "90 percent of the time everything is against Serbia."

"I'm just waiting for more patriotic criticism to stick around about who is meeting with whom, but I'd rather ask them if they've adopted the 21st package of sanctions against Russia. They're always the first, when Brussels just announces a decision, Montenegro is the first, they haven't even seen the decision, but it doesn't matter, there is no decision against the Russian Federation that they supported, and all of that in advance," Vučić said.
