Porfirije: We never even thought about, let alone discussed, establishing the Boka Kotorska Eparchy

The story of the alleged establishment of the Boka Kotorska eparchy in Montenegro is a well-designed, malicious campaign, which aims to create distrust among Orthodox believers, said the Patriarch of the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) Porfirije.

As reported, in a statement to the Serbian Orthodox Church's press service, he denied allegations by certain media outlets about the establishment of such an eparchy.

"The story about the establishment of the Boka Kotorska Eparchy in Montenegro would be funny if it were not for evil intent, a well-designed malicious campaign that, by emphasizing this topic, aims to create confusion, to create confusion and to create distrust among Orthodox believers. We have never even thought about, let alone spoken and discussed this topic, and especially we have not developed any strategy. Therefore, the establishment of the Boka Kotorska Eparchy in Montenegro does not exist as a topic in our Church," Porfirije wrote in a statement published on the SPC website.
