Vučelić: The continuous anti-Montenegrin campaign from Belgrade does not stop

Independent MP Maja Vučelić said that the continuous anti-Montenegrin campaign from Belgrade is not stopping, with the aim of weakening Montenegro, collapsing the concept of a civil state, deepening divisions and, ultimately, stopping or slowing down its European path.

"It is important to Vučelić that Montenegro is as weak and divided as possible, because then the space for Belgrade's political influence is greater. That influence gains momentum through political partners and executors, primarily Milan Knežević and other actors who take on the same political goal, but different paths," Vučelić wrote on the X network.

She added that the moment was not coincidental.

"Before the election year and the year of the end of negotiations, identity issues are persistently being raised and the story of the alleged 'assimilation and endangerment of Serbs' is being promoted. Instead of reforms, closing chapters and strengthening institutions, we are once again being offered identity conflicts. This is not a coincidence. This is a political pattern that requires a statesmanlike response. We will not be anyone's training ground. We will not be anyone's periphery. And we will not allow the European future of our country to be stopped through new divisions," said Vučelić.
