NSD: We understand the decision of the Bosniak Party, we will not declare them an enemy

New Serbian Democracy (NSD) announced that the Bosniak Party can vote to dismiss Andrija Mandić from the position of President of the Parliament of Montenegro and that because of this, the Bosniak Party will not be "declared an enemy"

"We have taken note of the decision of the Presidency of the Bosniak Party that its deputies support the initiative to dismiss the President of the Parliament of Montenegro Andrija Mandić. We cannot agree with this decision, but we will not allow a political issue to become a reason for a new political conflict with the Bosniak Party, and especially not for creating distrust between Serbs and Bosniaks in Montenegro. The Bosniak Party can vote for the dismissal of Andrija Mandić. We will consider this to be a wrong decision. But because of this, we will not declare the Bosniak Party an enemy, nor will we ever treat Bosniaks as political opponents because the party they predominantly vote for had such a position at one political moment," the NSD announced.

They add that they cannot build the reconciled Montenegro they want by digging up old trenches again after every difficult vote.

"We can only build it if we learn to be different without hatred, to vote differently without hostility, and to talk about a common future again after every political conflict. We understand the Bosniak Party, which makes decisions in accordance with the interests of its own political organization, whether it is its participation in the 44th Government of Montenegro, participation in the Bijelo Polje government with DPS, or support for what we can define as the third, already unsuccessful, DPS initiative against the first man of the Assembly."

The NSD announced that the party and its president "have broad enough shoulders to withstand all the political blows that are coming these days both from Montenegro and from various addresses outside our country."

"We draw strength for this precisely from the vision of a reconciled and European Montenegro, in which all citizens, regardless of whether they are Serbs, Montenegrins, Bosniaks, Albanians, Croats or members of another nation, will have the same rights and in which their feelings will be respected. Our goal is to make Montenegro a country of free, happy, rich and reconciled people," it was announced.
