Councilor of the European Union in the Capital City Assembly, Miloš Mašković, called on the competent state prosecutor's office to ex officio investigate the operations of the Public Institution "Radosav Ljumović" and all circumstances related to the disputed public procurement.
He said this while commenting on a statement by the Podgorica-based Fidelity Consulting company, which announced earlier today that the director of the Radosav Ljumović National Library, Slavica Ilinčić, had signed a tender for books that did not exist.
Mašković said that at the previous session of the Capital City Assembly, he warned about the fictitious financial report relating to this public institution and already then raised the issue of possible financial fraud within the Library.
"If it turns out to be true that the technical specification for a procurement worth 50.000 euros contained dozens of non-existent or bibliographically questionable titles, and that such a document was signed, certified with the institution's seal and sent to the Capital City to initiate public procurement, this is a case that cannot remain without establishing responsibility within the Library and outside it. I think that after all the scandals, the resignation of director Slavica Ilinčić represents a minimum of professional and institutional responsibility," said Mašković in a post on the Iks (X) network.
