Marković earns more than double, they have an apartment, a house and a cottage

Last year, Prime Minister Duško Marković's salary increased by more than 100 percent, from less than 1.100 to 2.240 euros, according to his property record for 2016.

Before he assumed the position of prime minister on November 28, Marković's vice-presidential salary in the government of Milo Đukanović increased from less than 1.100 in January to April to 2.020 euros.

In December, he reported the prime minister's salary of 2.240 euros. That was before the eight percent austerity measures.

Marković is the head of the Council for Privatization and Capital Investments, the National Investment Commission, the Council for Tourism and the Council for the Rule of Law. However, he only receives compensation as a member of the Collegium on Accession to the European Union. In 2016, he received 1.060 euros for participating in the Collegium.

Nata Marković's wife receives a measly 1.095 euros per month at the Telecommunications Agency. The Markovics are the owners of an apartment, a house and a cottage. The prime minister bought a 20.000-square-meter apartment in Podgorica with a 106-square-meter housing loan, and his wife a 61-square-meter house in Podgorica and a 150-square-meter cottage in Žabljak.

Marković also inherited a quarter of the house in his native Mojkovac of 72 square meters and a large plot of land.
