Official of the Bosniak Party and President of the Municipality of Plav Orhan Šahmanović accused the ambassador in Moscow Igor Jovović of trying to prevent the recent meetings of the delegation from Montenegro with the highest government officials of Chechnya.

"Ambassador Igor Jovović tried through his contacts with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Chechnya to make it impossible for us to hold the planned meetings. However, he did not succeed in this plan," Šahmanović said in the show "Ogledalo" on Serbian television.

Šahmanović stayed in Chechnya with DF leaders Andrija Mandić and Milan Knežević.

He said in the show that the claims from BS that he was in Chechnya on a private visit are not democratic, reports Dan.

He also says that he would not be surprised if they tried to expel him from BS because of his visit to Chechnya, even though, as he says, he is one of the people who worked hard to found the party.

"I would not be surprised if such an initiative was launched. Reasonable people will not allow it to be launched. I am not burdened by it, but by the investments and development of the Municipality of Plav. It is a party in which I do not see myself in the future. BS is in the jaws of DPS and "I have been under pressure for a long time because of the coalition with the opposition in Plav. This is not according to the standards of the ruling coalition in Montenegro. But we have shown that we know how to fight for Plav and cooperate," Šahmanović said.

He said in the show that he does not think that NATO is the best framework for Montenegro, as well as that "ISIL and Bin Laden were created in America."

Šahmanović, unlike his party colleague Adnan Muhović, does not consider Njegoš genocidal.

"The Bosniak party has been abused on this issue. The issue of the national holiday should have been left behind. It should have been discussed at the round tables about the importance of Njegoš for Montenegro and care should be taken of other confessions. The issue of Njegoš was deliberately pushed by DPS to BS in order to further once showed that it is an anti-Montenegrin and anti-Serb party, which in my opinion it is not," Šahmanović pointed out.
