The President of the Bosniak Party, Rafet Husović, apologized to the citizens of Montenegro for the statements made by the high-ranking official of that party, Adnan Muhović, in the previous days.
"It is likely that certain members of the Bosniak Party hurt citizens' feelings with their statements and actions or contributed to raising tensions, and for that, as the president of the Bosniak Party, I apologize to the citizens of Montenegro. I also appeal to all members of the Bosniak Party to refrain from such comments which can contribute to the destruction of the civic character of Montenegro and the devaluation of multi-national and multi-religious harmony. Although there have been a lot of unjustified attacks on the Bosniak Party and its leadership lately, we will not respond to those insults and humiliations," said Husović.
Husović announced that the main priorities of the Bosniak Party since its foundation are civil, multinational and multi-religious Montenegro.
He also stated that BS firmly stands on the course "that sees our country as a member of the EU and NATO alliances, and such policy of our party will not change".
"I remind the public that the Bosniak Party, both before and after the parliamentary elections held in October last year, was the subject or target of certain political-interest groups. That coordinated activity that does not stop, and whose main goal is to reduce the influence and reputation of the Bosniak Party, is carried out as from subjects in Montenegro, as well as from groups outside the borders of our country. The Bosniak party has never traded, as it wants to present itself to the public. If our intentions were such and we only cared about functions, we would have accepted the offer of the opposition, from which we was offered many more functions. Then we would get a break, but Montenegro would lose," Husović said.
He pointed out that there is no alternative for the Bosniak party when it comes to civil and European Montenegro, a member of the NATO alliance.
"I will conclude with a review of the current topic related to the proclamation of the Day of Culture, which has been politicized for no reason. If the issue of amendments to the Law on Public Holidays is again on the agenda and in the parliamentary procedure, then we will announce a clear position, until then the Bosniak Party will this topic will not be advertised," Husović concluded.
