The purpose of this center will be to study four major threats to the human species - artificial intelligence, climate change, nuclear war and abuses in biotechnology.
The Center for Existential Risk Studies will be opened by Lord Rhys, Astronomer Royal and one of the world's most respected cosmologists. In his last book, "Our Last Age", he warns humanity about self-destructiveness that could lead to the complete destruction of the human race by the year 2100.
