During the four festival days, we will celebrate omnipresent science and inspiring innovations in the most beautiful way, through numerous and varied program contents - exhibitions, fairs, project presentations, lectures by distinguished scientists, panel discussions, interactive workshops, hackathons, etc.
The Minister of Science and Technological Development, Biljana Šćepnaović, officially opened the Festival with an intriguing and educational exhibition of the Museum of Illusions from Belgrade, which speaks of the fact that science can really be fun, and that it is for all ages - from 3-103 years old. The exhibition is open to all residents of the capital during the duration of the event and the entrance is free, and we believe that there will be those who will come to Podgorica on purpose and visit this unusual content.
Our wish is for science to come out of its laboratories and libraries, to walk through the streets, squares, parks, museums, galleries, our beautiful mountains and the sea coast, to meet and present itself to everyone throughout Montenegro. We also want scientific research institutions to open their doors to everyone who is interested in feeling the atmosphere and getting to know the working environment of researchers. We plan for innovations to surprise you in places where you don't expect such content, to attract and inspire you to bravely step into the field of the power of ideas.
We want to observe the stars together, with explanations from our astronomers and future astro-physicists, but also to launch mini-rockets in preparation for space exploration. At the same time, we learn to preserve our nature on this planet, getting to know the treasures of the botanical garden and the aquarium.
During the Festival, we pay special attention to children and young people - from preschool to university age - considering it extremely important both for them and for the proper development of our society as a whole, to bring them closer in time and help them adopt scientific and innovative ways of thinking. And those who have already embarked on the path of science and innovation, and achieved their first successes in state competitions, we praise, as well as their teachers who selflessly introduced them to the magical world of science and innovation, and, being proud of them, we give them the opportunity to show their peers show what they do and how much they enjoy it.
As part of the Festival, we will talk with the target public on various topics related to policies in the field of science and innovation, strategic, programmatic and legal-normative acts, types of support and the general system of scientific and innovative activity in Montenegro, all in the desire to improve it together and we are harmonizing with contemporary world trends, and above all striving to maintain a good position and a firm step of our country on the path of EU integration in the field of research and innovation.
The main sponsor of the Festival, for the second year in a row, is the Five Group, which contributed a lot to the quality of this year's Festival, and which itself will take part in the festival program. In addition to presenting their activities, their emphasis this year will be on the importance that IT, as a strategic branch of the economy established on sound foundations, can have for the country's economy through the strengthening of domestic personnel capacities, the digitalization of public administration, as well as the creation of a business environment favorable for attracting foreign companies from this area.
