The Government of Montenegro, in accordance with its obligations under international law, domestic constitutional and legal norms, adopted the Strategy for the Protection of Persons with Disabilities from Discrimination and the Promotion of Equality for the period 2017-2021. with the Action Plan for 2017-2018. year, it was announced after the Government session.
"The strategy deals with the implementation of the policy of protecting the rights of persons with disabilities from discrimination and promoting equality with other persons, with defined measures and activities to ensure the complete protection of persons with disabilities from discrimination in all areas of life," the statement explains.
As they said, the Government adopted the Information on the current epizootic situation with a proposal to compensate the owners whose animals died of bluetongue.
"It was decided that compensation, according to the estimated value, will be paid to all farms that suffered damage. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Directorate for Food Safety, Veterinary and Phytosanitary Affairs are tasked with preparing a plan of preventive measures by the end of the year with the aim of suppressing these and other of potential dangerous infectious diseases in 2017," the announcement states.

It is emphasized that the Government also adopted the II Report of the expert group of the Council of Europe GRETA on the implementation of the Convention of the Council of Europe for the fight against human trafficking in Montenegro and tasked the competent authorities to undertake activities in a timely manner in order to implement the recommendations and conclusions from the Report.
