Representatives of the Tourist Organization of Podgorica and the Capital City today chose the best for the 34th time at the "We choose the best in tourism and hospitality" event.
In the category of the best collectives, the company "Čelebić" was declared the best company in 2016, the hotel "Ziya" was awarded the award for the best hotel, and the hotel "Philia" was declared the best small hotel.
Awards were presented to the awarded companies by Deputy Mayor Časlav Vešović.
"Podgorica, as the capital city, must have a more ambitious approach in creating a better tourist offer in the main work. As a political, administrative, student center, cultural, financial and economic center, Podgorica has all the conditions to produce a better tourist product and has the conditions to make a greater contribution to the overall tourist product of Montenegro. We were not satisfied with the findings that in the overall tourism product, Podgorica has mediocre ratings," said Vešović, emphasizing that there is evident progress in the development of tourism in the capital.
The best restaurant in Podgorica this year was also awarded, according to the evaluation of the Organizing Committee of the Podgorica Tourist Organization, the restaurant "Elit - Lounge bar". "Culture club Štrudla" was chosen among numerous coffee bars. The pizzeria "Lanterna" and the tourist agency "Grand" were also awarded, while "Imanje Knjaz" was selected in the category of the best tourist-excursion place.
"Weekend in Titograd" was chosen as the best event in the capital, while the title of best magazine went to "Caffe Montenegro Magazine".
In addition to companies, awards were also given to individuals. The title of this year's best manager went to Rajko Radulović, the best cook was Slađana Šoć, the pastry chef Ivana Jovović, the waiter Cvetko Bjelobrković, and the best receptionist was Milica Mihailović.
Among the best individuals this year were "Zelenil" worker Dragan Vojinović and "Čistoće" worker Gaši Bajrami, who, in addition to recognition, received symbolic monetary awards.
As part of the event, the best journalist for 2016 was selected, and that award went to Miomir Maroš.
