Residents of the Pljeval village of Crljenice: Because of the dogs, we will block the landfill

Residents of the Pljevan village of Crljenice have announced that they will block the disposal of garbage at the Jagnjilo landfill, if the local administration does not solve the problem of stray dogs in the next fifteen days.

They claim that these dogs harm the population living in the immediate vicinity.

At the Jagnjilo landfill, Rudnik disposes of tailings from the Potrlica surface mine, and the local government also takes municipal waste from the city.

The president of the local community of Crljenica, Darko Gačević, said that they have had problems with stray dogs for a long time.

"The locals of Crljenica are in a big problem because of the enormous damage caused by stray dogs to their households. Stray dogs in a pack, so to speak, threaten the property of the locals every day and attack domestic animals, cows, sheep, chickens... The locals are not safe either, especially children. Great material damage was caused to many locals whose only source of income is animal husbandry. We are asking the authorities to issue an order to remove stray dogs from Jagnjilo, so that the locals and their property are not endangered by stray dogs," says Gačević.

He told those responsible in the Municipality to urgently deal with the problem, because otherwise they will block the further disposal of garbage in Jagnjila.
