A group of workers - engaged in the construction of the road in Rožaje and the section Kovren - Vrulja, will file a report against the Podgorica company ONT and its owner Nikola Obradović, because, as they claim, he did not pay them debts for the work they did.
One of the workers, Miloje Cmiljanić, said that they are forced to do this because Obradović refuses to "pay them their hard-earned money". He said that about twenty workers from Pljevlje, Rožaj and Bijelo Polje did not receive their wages in full, and they are owed a total of around 12.000 euros.
Obradović said that he owes the workers around 4.000 euros. He claims that he paid most of the workers their wages by September 15 and that he will pay the rest within the "legal deadline". He points out that he owes the workers wages for only 10 or 15 days, because some "voluntarily left their jobs".
Cmiljanić says that the majority of people from Pljevlja are workers who also worked at the waste water treatment plant in Pljevlja, and who were not fully paid by the employer.
"I talked to Obradović several times and he promised to pay us the money, but in the last ten days he won't even answer our phone. He claims that 'Štrabak', for which he worked as a subcontractor, did not pay him money, while one of the directors of that company, Predrag Anđelković, claims that they transferred the money to ONT's account," said Cmiljanić, who says that all employees are correctly have done their part.
He also states that they waited for the elections to be over in order to talk about their problems, so that no one would object to them doing it on the instructions of a party. He points out that they started working for Obradović on August 17, when they handed him their work books, but that none of the workers signed any contract with him.
"We handed over the booklets to him, but at the moment we don't even know where they are." We were tricked again, just like at the collector."
He says that they also appealed to the President of the Municipality, Mirko Đačić, for help, but that he did not even deign to receive them.
"He behaves arrogantly towards us, as if we are not citizens of this Municipality and as if he is not the mayor of all citizens. After visiting this road recently, he said that the execution of works is proceeding according to the predicted dynamics, which is not true. There is a delay of at least four months because the contractor hires phantom companies as subcontractors".
Đačić recently stated that the works on the construction of the section of the Crkvice - Vrulja road, on the regional road Pljevlja - Bijelo Polje, worth 4,7 million euros, should be completed by the middle of next year.
