The non-governmental association Naše doba launched, on the occasion of the International Day of the Elderly on October 1, an official Internet and Facebook page with the aim of involving this population more intensively in social flows and the digital society.
As they announced, the website was launched based on the principle that even older members of the social community have significant potential, and Our Age strives to encourage them to engage more intensively in social flows.
"On the website, we publish information related especially to older citizens of Montenegro and active aging, intergenerational cooperation and volunteer actions, as well as announcements of cultural events that may be of interest to our readers," says the announcement of Our Age.
At the same time, as they added, using modern technology, senior citizens will achieve a better quality and meaningful life.
From Našge doba, they pointed out that Crnogorski Telekom recognized the importance of digital literacy for the elderly and last year awarded that association financial support for the launch of a website in the competition for socially responsible projects "For the good of all". www.nasedoba.me.
Within the project, as indicated by the association, activities were carried out that gradually and systematically led to the formation of the now active site.
"Eight members of the NGO Naše doba attended a computer literacy course at the Human Resources Administration of Montenegro without compensation, experts from the NGO Digitalizuj.me, also without compensation, trained the editorial team - members of Naše doba to design a website, shape content and independently they prepare and publish material", stated from that Association.
The space for the meeting of the editorial team and members who prepare material for the site, as they said, is given to the NGO Zdrava - Dona Montenegrin without compensation.
"We invite both the old and the young, because without them we would not have started this venture, to follow the website www.nasedoba.me and get involved with comments or contributions, and Our Age also has a page on Facebook," the announcement says.
