The non-governmental organization "Zagrad Montenegro" from Nikšić appealed to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, as well as other relevant institutions, to finally solve the problem of water supply in the village of Zagrad.
In that village, a water supply system was built in 2002, but due to the non-functioning of the network, about 150 households still have problems with water.
"Due to the technical malfunction of the water supply network, the locals are forced to, for justifiable reasons, self-initiative and in an improvised way, maintain the network, eliminate faults, which, due to insufficient expertise, additionally affects the non-functionality of the network. Water clocks are not installed, so it is used for other purposes," says the press release signed by Ivan Đurović, executive director of "Zagrad Montenegro".
From that NGO, they obtained from the relevant ministry the documentation on who manages the water supply system in Zagrad, as well as what has been done so far regarding the systemic solution to the water supply in the swept-out parish village.
"Several times the residents of Zagrad have tried to solve the problem of proper supply in a self-organized way, but without a permanent rational solution. On the basis of the requested documentation, we will initiate the further procedure of permanent system water supply", concluded Đurović.
