Ulcinj is one of the few coastal towns where, in the height of the season, the pier is flooded with cars day and night.
A place that is synonymous with boats and yachts, barges and fishermen today is an improvised parking lot, which does not even meet the basic requirements for it, because first of all, there is no protective fence.
Old town resident Ismet Karamanaga says that Velika skela has been used as a parking lot for many cars for years.
"Inhabitants of Ulcinj, as well as numerous guests who visit our city, would like to see yachts and other vessels on that part, which are the decoration of every coastal city," he said.
He states that people are forced to park their cars there, because parking is prohibited on the Pier.
"Let them designate parking spaces throughout the city and let them charge. "But let them free the scaffolding from the car," Karamanaga appealed.
The head of communal police, Saubih Mehmeti, said that he sees nothing objectionable in the fact that there are cars at the Port.
"It is also good for the citizens of Starograd, because they can park there for free. Next year, we will have a company that will take care of all the parking lots in the city, including their security," said Mehmeti.
A few years ago, a swimming pool was built on the pier, with several bars and a discotheque.
