The reduction of waiting lists in health institutions from 12,5 thousand to 1,19 thousand patients confirmed that there is no source of corruption in health care.
This is what the secretary of the Ministry of Health, Nina Milović, told the MINA agency, adding that the department, out of a total of 42 measures foreseen in the action plan to fight corruption in the field of health for 2014 within the framework of nine general goals, implemented 38.
Milović emphasized that the measure of limited work of healthcare workers was implemented in full at the same time in the public and private sectors.
The Clinical Center (KC) announced that on July 28, 752 patients were waiting for their first examination and surgery at that health facility, which is the best result since the arrival of the new management in April last year.
An additional 2.888 patients were waiting last week for diagnostics, and 90 for radiation.
The waiting list was halved compared to the end of June, when a total of 6.396 patients were waiting for the first examination, surgery and diagnostics.
That month, 1.194 citizens were waiting for the first examination and surgery, and an additional 3.205 for diagnostics.
Milović said that waiting lists do not exist in other health institutions, and that they are transparent in KC.
She also said that at the last session, at the proposal of the Ministry, the Government adopted the Regulation on the criteria for placing or removing medicines from the list, which, she claims, will permanently ensure the availability of the necessary medicines.
"This will permanently ensure the availability of necessary medicines for the population of Montenegro, and the criteria are objective and transparent", she pointed out.
According to the regulation, the price of the first generic drug, which is of the same or similar pharmaceutical form and strength as the original drug, can amount to a maximum of 70 percent of the original drug.
