More than 300 cyclists participated in the promotional bike ride under the slogan "Light Up my bike", which was organized on July 21 by Biciklo.me in cooperation with NGO Green Home, Bajkeraj and Tempo stores, according to the NGO Green Home.
"The goal of the bike ride is to raise the awareness of cyclists about the importance of having lights on two-wheelers. Lights on the bike, both in front and at the back, are a prerequisite for safe riding in the dark, when traffic is the most dangerous. Before the actual ride, all cyclists who did not have prescribed lighting could buy lights, fluorescent vests and other equipment at reduced prices from vendors from the Tempo and Bajkeraj stores, which had their own stands on Trg Nezavisnosti," the announcement states.
The participants drove from Nezavisnosti Square along Slobode Street in the direction of Gorica Hill, left into Ivan Crnojevića Boulevard, right into Vaka Đurovića Street, left over Vezirovo Most, then left along Serdar Jol Piletić, Jovan Tomašević and Ivan Milutinović Streets along Morača, left over the Union Bulevar bridge Crnogorski serdar, left on Kralja Nikola Street, straight on Slobode Street to Trg Nezavisnosti, where the ride ended.
"At the beginning of this event, Biciklo.me and the NGO Green Home distributed prizes for the best 5 photos with lighted bicycles, which cyclists could send on the Facebook page of this association until July 28 at midnight.After the ride, male and female cyclists could rest and have fun with the sounds of DJ Krcko," the announcement concludes.
