Twelve professors of the Police Academy (PA) claim that their director, Boban Šaranović, is degrading that educational institution by his actions, hiding behind the function and mandate entrusted to him, but also exercising arbitrariness.
Professor PA Žarko Mrdović claims that, by intimidating the members of the Trade Union, Saranović removed him from the head of that organization, accusing him of providing "Vijesti" information about the disappearance of the gun.
"Our address to the media was solely provoked by the permanent pressure and untruths that the director spreads through the media. We especially condemn the director's actions by which he directly, illegally and violently interfered in the work of the Trade Union. On Sunday, under duress, signatures were collected from a part of the Trade Union members - it went from house to house, and the next day the director personally and in his office inviting one employee at a time. Then he entered the union session, took a direct part in the work and, waving the papers on which the signatures had been collected, pointed his finger at the president (Žarko Mrdović) and told him: "I am dismissed si". This procedure is in contradiction with the valid Statute of the Union and a direct violation of the prescribed procedure for elections in the Union", said PA professors.
They submitted a signed statement to "Vijesta" in which they explain that on November 26, they asked the Minister of Education Damir Šehović to dismiss Saranović.
"Because of the inscriptions in certain media in which the professors are presented by the PA director as a group of misguided, privileged and unthinking people, we want to show the exact opposite with this statement. In these events at the Police Academy, which burden us in our daily work psychologically, emotionally and humanly sense, we are exclusively on the side of the truth and the desire for this institution to work at full capacity and in accordance with the goals and purpose with which it was founded, and to be an eminent educational institution of the security services in Montenegro," the professors wrote.
They pointed out that the desire to work with young people, educate them and guide them for an honorable police call determined them to become professors:
"Our ambitions have no other character," says the letter of professors Željka Vujašković, Radivoj Sokić, Svetomir Knežević, Damir Zejnilović, Olivera Pavićević, Radovan Popović, Žarko Mrdović, Ljubiša Koković, Miodrag Jovović, Boško Ilić, Zoran Ćetković and Snežana Kadović.
