The uncivilized behavior of the deputy of the Albanian Alternative Nik Đeljošaj, inappropriate for today's times, represents an unprecedented precedent in the political life and political culture of contemporary parliamentarism, and this behavior of the deputy speaks best of himself, announced the Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts (CANU).
CANU stated that they are concerned that this happened in the Assembly of Montenegro, where, as they state, this performance served as a possible announcement of the opening of larger issues than the criticism of the content of certain terms of the Dictionary.
"We hope that MP Đeljošaj will familiarize the Montenegrin public, especially his colleagues in the Parliament of Montenegro, with the "Platform for the solution of the Albanian national issue" of the Academy of Sciences of Albania (Tirana, 1998) and that, as a citizen of Montenegro, he will act on it adequate way," the CANU press release states.
CANU expressed its protest to the President of the Parliament of Montenegro and the presidents of parliamentary clubs for allowing "the dignity of the most important legislative institution of Montenegro to be humiliated in this way".
"The Presidency has requested that the Council for the Development of the Dictionary analyze the remarks made regarding the content of Volume I of the Dictionary and the current way of working in order to eliminate deficiencies and propose improvements to the work on the Dictionary," stated the press release of the CANU Presidency.
