Albanian Alternative MP Nik Đeljošaj announced that he will file a criminal complaint against the responsible authors of the Dictionary of the Montenegrin Language and ask for it to be banned because, as he assessed, it insults Albanians and others on national and religious grounds.
"Let's see if the judiciary is able to face this 'deed', because the other parts of the government failed the exam," Đeljošaj told the Mina agency.
He said that a dictionary, according to a logical understanding, means to break down a word or words in order to clarify the meaning of that word to the readers.
"In the published 'dictionary' the words are explained in such a way that the meaning of the word Albanian means a resident of Albania or one who is originally from Albania. CANU as the publisher and hot heads as the authors, i.e. the Council for creating the dictionary, Albanians in "To Montenegro, who are their neighbors, to certain authors and friends, sometimes when they have some interest, they intentionally and with a dangerous goal want to present that they are not Albanians, and not only us, but millions of Albanians who do not live and are not originally from Albania," said Đeljošaj .
According to him, in the explanation with examples for the word albanize, they say that Malisors are albanized.
"Another falsehood, which does not need to be explained".
"They define the process of Albanianization as the imposition of language, culture and customs on other peoples... It's funny, when you know the historical facts that the Albanians never attacked anyone, they only decently defended what belonged to them," says Đeljošaj.
As he states, balkanization, Americanization and other "anizations" for CANU mean introduction or acceptance, "and for us Albanians have special treatment".
"For example, the word albanization "is" an imposition, which means that Albanians are violent and aggressive, because Russians will not albanize anyone, but logically it means Albanians. CANU also insults Muslims on a religious basis, which means that it insults most Albanians on a national and on a religious basis," Đeljošaj assesses.
He believes that the attack on the Albanians should be understood as an attack on the state as well. "But the institutions of the state, when it comes to the protection of Albanians, do not listen, even if this 'jubmus' is happening in the decade of independence".0
"Two months have passed since the announcement of this crime by CANU and the state is not reacting. The message is clear, the state stands behind these authors, stands behind the project, supports the humiliation and insult of five percent of its population and more than seven million Albanians," says Đeljošaj.
According to him, this country would not exist if it had not been preserved by national minorities - Ulcinj, Malesija, Plav, Rožaje and Cetinje.
"Donald Tusk delivered a message almost from Podgorica: peoples who forget disappear. Albanians survive for several millennia in these areas, because they do not forget how they built the future. I repeat, build and not tear down, longevity confirms perseverance," said Đeljošaj.
Commenting on the "silence" of the ministries of science, culture and other institutions, he says that they confirm in action that they think one thing and publicly declare another. "They confirm that they don't know how to do their job when it comes to Albanians. Hypocrisy at its peak, from their cabinets they probably applaud the 'work' called the dictionary".
"The ministry that includes the protection of minorities in its job description is very 'busy', they come up with numbers for new license plates in order to outsmart hooligans. And from the other mentioned department, they don't have time, because they are working on professional and scientific achievements," said Đeljošaj.
Actions, he says, speak volumes.
"Just don't let them think that we didn't receive this kind of message by keeping quiet. We consider their silence just a continuation of the dictionary promotion campaign," added Đeljošaj.
Answering the question whether he expects the authorities and CANU to be ready to listen to their arguments, Đeljošaj said that he is no longer interested in that.
"The authors and the publisher seem to have read the 'dictionary' so many times that they believed the falsehoods written".
"So I read that Jevrem Brković, an academic pushed into CAN, defends the 'dictionary' against attacks, but does not respond to the published arguments with a single word. Brković wrote in his diary, when he was persecuted, that he fell into safe hands, into the hands of Malisor, that is, the Albanians. But the fact that today he defends the authors and his CANA, into which they pushed him, says the most about him, even though the Albanians, not only in Montenegro, but also in Albania and Kosovo, awarded him with the greatest awards," said Đeljošaj.
He said that Albanians are trustworthy hosts, "and we gave our lives for our guests, and members of my family died to protect the guest, who was not Albanian."
"But we didn't choose the guests, the door was always open to us. We have guests like this, like Brković, but the most important thing is that we did what is in our tradition, and let him serve in his honor," stated Đeljošaj.
He emphasized that Brković never did anything or defended Albanians.
"That is untrue, because at the very beginning of the 90s we saved him from his colleagues in CAN and took him out of Montenegro, so I don't know how he defended us from Tirana and Zagreb," said Đeljošaj.
He announced that at the beginning of next week, in front of or in the hall of the Assembly, he will hold a press conference, with an interesting performance that, he says, has certainly not been seen in Montenegro.
