In Broćanc, a village about 40 kilometers from Nikšić, the Baćović family found a dead fawn on the family property, about a hundred meters from the house, which, as Todor Baćović said, had visible gunshot wounds.
According to him, the case was reported to the local security guard, but no one showed up, and the next day only the hairs of the killed animal remained. Baćović believes that the deer were most likely eaten by wolves. According to him, hunting dogs can often be heard through the hunting grounds managed by the "Bratogošt" hunting company.
Gamekeeper Milosav Minja Orbović said that he was not there when the Baćovićs reported the killed deer to him and that he would go to the field tomorrow. According to him, the incident happened at the very border of the hunting grounds managed by "Bratogošt" and their colleagues from Grahov.
He said that the ban on hunting went into effect 15 days ago and that, as far as he knows, no one has violated it so far.
The hunting society "Bratogošt" manages a territory of 68 thousand square meters, and the work of gamekeepers is carried out by the three of them.
The Nikšić police said that they were not aware of the case and that no one had reported anything to them.
