On the occasion of March XNUMX, Societe Generale Montenegro banka donated two thousand euros to the Association of Parents of Children with Cancer, Fenix Montenegro.
The press release states that this year's March XNUMX donation has been earmarked for that association by the decision of the women employed in the bank.
"The donation of two thousand euros will support the fund-raising campaign for the adaptation of part of the children's pediatrics department for the treatment of children with cancer, in the Clinical Center of Montenegro," says the bank's announcement.
They pointed out that the current situation is such that children with cancer in Montenegro are treated and live with all other children and their bodies, already destroyed by the disease and chemotherapy, are exposed to all other diseases and infections due to unsecured isolation.
Societe Generale Montenegro Bank said that they will continue to celebrate International Women's Day with a donation and socially responsible activities that seek to improve the position of women and children in Montenegrin society.
"The plan for renovation and adaptation has been made, but significant financial resources are needed," said the president of the Association, Dijana Stojanović.
Fenix announced that up to 20 children from Montenegro get sick every year and added that they are mostly sent to Belgrade for treatment.
They stated that through various projects they are working to strengthen the health care of children with cancer and their better position in society, during and after treatment, as well as rehabilitation after active cytostatic therapy.
The Association said that, in addition to psychological support for children with cancer and their families, they provide one-time financial assistance to families whose children are undergoing treatment
