On the part of the Jadranska magistral from the bus station to the traffic lights on Topla, the replacement of 25 LED lamps has begun, after which an examination report by an authorized company will be made. The plan of priority places for the installation of new LED lighting includes the entire Adriatic highway and populated areas, where the illumination will be controlled using an identical measuring method, in order to obtain the most authoritative results. Currently, there are more than 3.000 lamps in Mješivot's warehouse in Zelenica.
In accordance with the contract that the Municipality of Herceg Novi signed with the Danish company "Hesse light", the project of replacing classic light bulbs with modern LED lighting, worth 2,69 million euros, should be implemented in the city in two months.
We remind you that at the public tender, the Danish company "Hesse light" was selected as the best bidder, which should replace 6.000 light bulbs, and the installation will be performed by the Nikšić company "Ramel", whose six teams will work together with the team of the Komunalno housing company. The Danish company is also obliged to hire a team that will maintain the lighting for the next 10 years, as long as the warranty period lasts.
The Director of the Communal-Housing Enterprise, Branko Božović, points out that the contractor is obliged to perform photometric measurements at 80 representative locations, in order to determine the similarity with daylight before installation. Another task for the contractor will be to submit a proposal for the type of decorative lamps, so that the client can choose the most suitable one, after which work will continue on the promenade, in the parks, on Njegoševa Street...
The first estimates say that the financial savings will be up to 70 percent, which will allow the lighting to practically pay for itself in a few years. Specifically, the Municipality of Herceg-Novi currently allocates 40.000 euros per month for public lighting, while with the introduction of LED lighting, the monthly bills will be around 15.000 euros.
We remind you that at the end of last year, the Belgrade company Eco power energy efficiency filed a criminal complaint with the Special State Prosecutor against an NGO in the Municipality of Herceg Novi, due to, as stated, damage in the amount of more than 30 thousand euros, regarding the work on the installation of LED lighting. At that time, the local administration assessed the criminal complaint, as well as other criticisms of the installation of LED lighting, as "malicious claims, which have an exclusively political background".
