Regular and extraordinary controls from the Health Center and Montefarma showed that all original medicines with signatures of selected doctors, original facsimiles and seals were found, claims Minister of Health Budimir Šegrt.
He said that for every medicine that was issued in the state pharmacy, there is an adequate document on the basis of which it was done.
When asked what the Ministry will do regarding the abuse of prescriptions and illegal dispensing of drugs and who is most responsible for that, Šegrt said that, based on what has been controlled so far through regular controls, he would not talk about any abuses.
"To me, this looks more like raising dust and an attempt to say that the Ministry of Health, the health system with Montefarm are not competent to provide safe and adequate medicines for insured persons of Montenegro," Šegrt told reporters.
When asked if there were any abuses in the Podgorica Health Center in view of the letter sent to him from November, he said that they are not afraid of responsibility.
"Control is not done when a problem appears, because it is not control, but investigation. We are trying to organize the service and the method of information and control, which will be the prevention of any problem", said Šegrt.
In November, the director of the Podgorica Health Center, Nebojša Kavarić, informed the Fund about suspicions of misuse when prescribing and dispensing medicines.
Three elected female doctors informed Kavarić that in the electronic records of a large number of patients, usually elderly and chronic patients, in the section on therapy, it can be seen that numerous, usually expensive, drugs were issued to them in the pharmacy, which they did not prescribe either in the electronic or in the paper form. form.
The quality control committee of the Health Center collected data for 54 suspicious prescriptions, which were issued during October and November last year.
Kavarić did not want to comment on the events surrounding the dispensing of medicines.
Several reliable sources told "Vijesti" that the Health Insurance Fund will strengthen the control of the Health Center and three state pharmacies, as well as that the prescriptions in question were written by hand.
It was unofficially announced from that health institution that control at all levels is still ongoing.
