The bird watching observatory located on the Tivat Salt Flats was demolished by unknown vandals who significantly damaged the protective fence that provides safe access to the observatory platform, the Center for the Protection and Study of Birds (CZIP) announced.

"At the beginning of last year, in order to provide an adequate infrastructure for bird watching in the Tivatska Solila special reserve, the CZIP established an ornithological trail that contains two observatories for bird watching. The observatories are used for the purpose of observing birds and educating children about ornithology and the importance of preserving wetland habitats, and represent good of public interest for Montenegro.
