Nationalism is being pumped up again and insists on divisions, claims cult musician and creator of the term "turbo-folk", Rambo Amadeus.
"Nationalism is a topic of income up to 300 euros a month. They are served that story. When the salary exceeds 500 euros, then the conversation about wardrobes and cafes begins. When it exceeds a thousand, then the top topic is healthy food, summer and winter vacations, and when it rises to more than three thousand, then all gossip stops. People then talk about the weather forecast and love," says the author of hits such as "The Death of Pop Milo Jovovic".
Given that most people in these areas have an average salary of 300 to 500 euros (if they receive a salary at all), that is why nationalism is the dominant theme, says this musician, who has a degree in tourism:
"How else to justify such a brutal fact that the standard during socialism was five times higher than in the capitalist environment, than that the other nation is to blame for everyone. Nationalism is just letting go of the fog, a smoke screen, like when a woman throws black to escape or caught a fish. That's how a young capitalist society casts the blackness of nationalism so that capitalism can unhindered steal a little more. Nationalism is a front for capitalism, from the beginning," he says in an interview with Croatian Express.
Are we in for a totalitarian war?
"When I went to high school, I was an excellent student. At that time, there was a course called Defense and Protection. We were taught by professor Matija Dabović. As part of the course, we had geostrategic analysis, we talked about the non-aligned movement and the possibility of a third world war. He also then said that, given that there are great powers and atomic powers, there will be no World War 16. But the wars will be limited, in limited territories, and they will be fought mainly over resources, and this will, over time, increase and stimulate international terrorism. I learned that when I was 78, so 79/2015. Today is XNUMX and look what we have. Various local wars and international terrorism. So there won't be a third world war. Although, for us Balkans, that's no consolation, given our habits ", concludes Rambo Amadeus.
Reality shows are proof that television is dying
