Students II-3 of the legal-administrative technician department of the Secondary School of Economics and Hospitality prepared two thematic workshops in cooperation with representatives of the civil sector, within the module "Business Communication and Human Rights".

Professor Neđeljko Đurović, MSc, told "Vijesta" that these workshops lasting two school hours represent a planned type of activity, and that their maintenance is carried out on a two-week basis.

"During the first workshop, "Improving media literacy in Montenegro", twenty students were able to learn about the current challenges and problems from this topic based on the experiences of the editor-in-chief of "Vijesti", Srdan Kosović, while the theoretical presentation, along with Mićan Andrijašević, the project coordinator in front of the NGO Juventas, interacted with the attendees. This workshop also represents a segment related to the activities of the Alumni Club of our institution, because its participants are former students of our school," added prof. Đurović.

On the recommendation of the Ministry of Education and with the expert opinion of the Institute for Education, the workshop "NO to discrimination, YES to diversity" dedicated to sexual orientation and gender identity was also reflected.

According to Đurović, this project is implemented in only a few high school institutions, and it is implemented by the Center for Civic Education (CGO) from Podgorica with the support of the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights. CGE coordinators Željka Ćetković and Miloš Knežević discussed this topic with the students

"This form of informal education, in addition to the regular educational process, allows high school students to acquire new knowledge and improves their professional education," Professor Đurović concluded.
