Ejup Nurković recommended companies to hire his cousin

The President of the Municipality of Rožaje, Ejup Nurković, recommended that the companies in that city hire the security of the agency managed by his cousin Omer Nurković, which was also founded with citizens' money.

A recommendation printed on the letterhead of the Municipality, signed by the president, "along with a letter of intent", i.e. "invitation to business cooperation" of the relative's agency "NOD Security MNE" was sent to the addresses of legal entities.

Former criminal technician Omer Nurković opened a protection agency, and the beginning of the work was financed by the President of the Municipality - with money from the budget. Training for 20 participants, who are from the ranks of the Bosniak Party, was paid for from the local coffers, as "Vijesti" wrote about a month ago.

It was explained to the companies that received the recommendation that the Law on the Protection of Persons and Property stipulates that state administration bodies, local governments and public companies are "compulsorily protected objects".

"Therefore, the President of the Municipality makes a recommendation for the engagement of the newly founded agency 'NOD security MNE' from Rožaj, which has a work permit...", states Nurković in the recommendation.

It further states that the agency "imposes itself as a serious and responsible partner in the necessity of protecting municipal property, as well as other mandatorily protected buildings and spaces".

"I believe that as a promising agency with professional and responsible people, it will contribute to the development of our city, both in the field of security and through the employment of young people. I hope that you will establish cooperation with this agency, and hire it according to the law that requires you to do so," the recommendation reads.

The Protection Agency is registered in the Central Register of the Commercial Court as a limited liability company, and the founder is the minor son of Omer Nurković, who is also the executive director and authorized representative. Nurković, a successful judoka and trainer, worked as a criminal technician in the Rožaj police. He voluntarily retired shortly after disciplinary proceedings were initiated against him for serious breach of official duty.
