Budva's Social Democratic Party condemned the intention to cable car project they take millions from the municipal budget again.
"The bad system of municipal project management, which in Budva is maintained only by exposed political corruption, is sealed by another absurdity of Montenegrin political everyday life. The founder of one of the newly formed "opposition" parties, together with the president, presented the famous project in a municipality burdened with problems cable cars from your hotel to your village. All this would be fine, if the investors realized the projects from their own funds. But as we all know that the pockets of such investors have become thinner due to the increasing number of incoming installments for astronomical loans and how the extinguishment of the accumulated number of phantom the company is increasing day by day - the tycoons of Budva, as a habit, turn to their old refuge, the budget of the Municipality of Budva. And all this with the wholehearted support of the new management, whose short-term mandate will be remembered for the reckoning with the employees and for the fact that it succeeded in record time to lose several million euros through blockades. And that's not enough, but it is already starting to promote new future blockades that paralyze the system of providing public services and paying salaries from which several hundred Budva families live," states the announcement of the SDP municipal board, with which the DPS recently broke up the coalition in Budva.
"Are these people aware that the Municipality's account has been blocked for several months precisely because of bad projects, that there is no will and expertise to solve this and that the threat of blocking a seven million tax debt hangs over our heads? That "personnel changes" and with the announced dismissals of the last professionals in the city administration, is the last nail in the coffin of the municipal apparatus? Is this a deliberate obstruction in order to delay the forced collection of tax debts to the Municipality that would solve our problems?" asked the SDP.
They added "Isn't that the only correct way or to fill budget holes by selling the pearls of our coast?"
"And now the voices of the hoteliers' parties are appearing, calling like parrots for consolidation. What kind of consolidation? Such that you will try to extract a few million more from the tortured budget for your failed cable car project from the hotel to the village? Is this the future offered to us by the Dpsovo-Pravaško - hotel coalition? If there is a circus in Budva, let it move to another city. The competition has just become unsurpassed," concludes the SDP.
