On the occasion of the new school year, the Hand of Friendship Foundation, represented by former residents of the 1st June Resource Center from Podgorica and others from children's and social institutions, will hand out around 100 notebooks to fellow citizens who live and study in RC 1st June and other educational institutions.
The donation will be handed over on September 9, at 11 am.
The modest donation, as stated by the Foundation, was secured from a private fund.
Each member of the Hand of Friendship Foundation and other former residents from children's and social institutions contributed to the action according to their own means.
"Each member of our organization receives from 63.30 euros of social assistance from the Center for Social Work, up to 77 euros from the Employment Agency, as a disabled person, which is not nearly enough to survive," the Foundation's press release states, adding that "it doesn't matter how much is given", and that there are many who are able to join the activities of the Foundation, but "stubbornly refuse".
