With music and fish soup in a pleasant environment, the campers from Bedem Fest had the opportunity to see what the members of the Society of Young Environmentalists Nikšić (DMEN) have done as part of the Blac revitalization project.

The revitalization project of the Blace picnic area, which will become an eco park and whose official opening is planned at the end of September, was chosen as the best ecological NGO project at the fourth competition of the "Trebjese" brewery, the implementation of which is financed by the company with 10.000 euros.

About 50 campers, led by ecologists from Nikšić, walked along narrow forest paths, from Bedem to Blac.

"We wanted to revive the old roads that used to lead to Blac, before the road was broken, but also to promote healthy lifestyles. We have done a lot, but we still have a lot to do before the official opening of the eco park," said Miodrag Karadžić, executive director of DMEN.

So far, ecologists have built a bridge, installed an information board, ten benches, five tables, a seesaw for children, training equipment, and removed a section of weeds.

"In the coming days, we expect to install more benches and tables, a swing, and a birdhouse. "During the Bedem Fest, a short 30-second promotional film will be shown on the main stage, describing the location of Blac and its activities so far," Karadžić said.

The promotion of the Blace Eco Park was organized as part of the Bedem Fest, which is organized for the sixth time in the town under Trebjes and which gathered a large number of performers and visitors.
