According to the data of the Tourism Organization of Podgorica, 47 guests stayed in the capital of Montenegro from January to July this year, which is 002 percent more than in the same period last year, when 22,6 tourists came.
As reported by TOP, the number of overnight stays increased by 30 percent, compared to the same period last year.
"There were 86.779 overnight stays in Podgorica, while last year it was 66.635. On average, guests stayed for 2 days, while last year it was 7", according to TOP data.
According to Tamara Radusinović, PR Tourist Organization of Podgorica, a significant contribution to this year's promotion of Podgorica was made by three new info points that were visited by a significant number of guests.
"Since the opening of the tourist points at the Golubovci airport, the bus and train station in Podgorica, 10.126 tourists have visited those points, of which 9.106 are foreign," she said.
On that occasion, explains Radusinović, the tourists received all the necessary information about the city and the country, as well as promotional materials for the country's tourist destinations.
She assessed that it is an encouraging fact that the number of tourists increases from year to year, and even more significantly that they stay longer than last year.
During the summer tourist season, "Vijesti" found more foreign tourists in the city, especially on the banks of Morača, the open pool and in the New Student Dormitory.
