Education and health workers from Bar, even after yesterday's protest in the hall of the Municipality building, did not manage to get the keys to the apartments they bought in the still unfinished A6 building in the Makedonski settlement. The building for educational and health workers began to be built in 2007 and was supposed to be completed in a year. A three-hour stay in the municipality with undisguised indignation and harsh words resulted, at least, in the fact that they finally found out where the keys were!
"The keys to our apartments are with the former head of the Institute for Bar Construction, Radojica Golubović, who is willing to hand them over to the Ministry of Internal Affairs or official representatives of investors, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health. The Municipality says that they neither can nor want to take over the keys because they are not investors, they wash their hands of everything, they want to help, but not take any responsibility", Mićo Baltić, the president of the bar trade union, told "Vijesta".
The protest started at 10 a.m. in front of the building, where the president of SO Bar Osman Subašić and the vice president of the Municipality Zoran Pajović were with the customers, and 40 minutes later it was moved to the municipal hall. Along with calling out both ministries and the Municipality for inactivity, the workers pointed out that with such a delay "they want to protect former mayor Žarko Pavićević" from everything wrong he did in this case.
"In building A6, 11 apartments belonging to investors and business premises belonging to the Municipality were sold. "Why doesn't the Municipality pay the necessary 240.000 euros for the completion of the building, when it is paying millions worth of fines for it", are just some of the calls from exasperated apartment buyers.
Baltić announced that the workers will wait a week to see if the ministries will send representatives to get the keys, "and then our reaction will follow".
"The Ministry of Education wants to pay 200.000 euros for the completion of the building, but the Ministry of Health does not give its workers any information, and without them nothing can be completed, they are inactive in this story," added Baltić.
