The fire around the Dajbaba monastery, on the hill of the same name, and nearby houses was localized.

Firefighters also extinguished the fire near the "Millennium" bridge.

100 fires in Podgorica during two days

Fire crews extinguished 918 fires in the Podgorica area in July and close to 100 fires during the first two days of August.

The Capital City Protection Service appealed to citizens to be careful when handling fire in an open space in order not to cause a fire which, as they warned, often gets out of control, and taking into account that the tropical heat, which has been going on for a long time in Podgorica , increase the risk of fire outbreaks and accelerate their spread.

"Due to the large increase in the number of fires, during this fire season, members of the Protection Service work day and night on their localization and liquidation, and very often there is a mobilization to which, despite the great exhaustion, all those called respond properly," said the Capital City Protection Service.

They asked the citizens, who live in suburban settlements and in the rural area of ​​Podgorica, to provide assistance to the firefighters in extinguishing fires, because in this way, together with the members of the Protection Service, they will more easily and efficiently localize fires and reduce larger
