There are active fires in several locations on the territory of Podgorica, and the Directorate for Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is helping to put out the fire, announced the commander of the Capital City Protection Service, Andrija Čađenović.
"Currently we have active fires in Rogami, the village of Đurkovići, and upper Rogami, in the area around the church. We have an active fire in Fundina, the village of Ledine, as well as in Komani, Ćafa hill," Ćađenović told the MINA agency.
In Komani, he said, there is one vehicle with three firefighters. "The fire is still quite high in the hill, it does not threaten the houses, but they are deployed there and are trying to repel the fire, so that it does not descend towards the houses."
He added that firefighters are deployed in Rogami at the most critical locations to defend residential buildings.
"For upper Rogam, we engaged Dirketnorat for emergency situations, so that the planes would help us, because there is a little inaccessible terrain, so we reckon that the help of aviation will come in handy to localize the fires and that neither the church, nor the estates, nor the houses in that environment," said Čađenović.
He announced that there were more than 30 fires on Friday, in various locations, in Piperi, Rogam, Bioč, Ber, Štek, Kokoti, as well as in several locations in the city municipality of Tuzi. "There were a lot of fires in Zeta, so we had a lot of work yesterday. Considering these weather conditions, it will be the same today".
"I can't say XNUMX%, but the biggest cause of all fires is the human factor," said Ćađenović.
