Columns at the border crossing with Croatia: We waited for over two hours

At the Kobili border crossing with Croatia this morning, there was a wait of over two hours for both exit and entry into the country.

The woman from Novlja, who at around 9 o'clock this morning intended to shorten the travel time to Dubrovnik's Čilipi airport by driving through Kobila, on the Montenegrin side, or Konfin on the Croatian side, was quite surprised when she found a crowd at the border crossing.

After returning from Croatia, the situation was even worse. At a temperature that reached 40 degrees, between two borders in a length of about a kilometer, the "vehicle" traveled for more than two hours. People were indignant, and tourists from Sweden asked if this was a common picture on the Montenegrin borders.

There were also vans in the convoy with passengers who needed to arrive at Chilipi Airport on time so as not to miss their flight.

According to unofficial information received by some of the passengers who were waiting to cross the border at Kobili, the problem arose with the passenger and vehicle registration system.

The official explanation is that the number of people entering and leaving the country increased today. According to experiences from previous years, when it comes to the summer months, crowds at the border were mostly created on the weekend, when there was a mass transfer of tourists.
