The Institute for Public Health of Serbia "Milan Jovanović Batut" and the Institute for Public Health of Montenegro signed an agreement on cooperation today, "Batut" announced.
The agreement was signed in Belgrade by the director of "Batuta" Dragan Ilić and the director of the Montenegrin Institute, Boban Mugoša, who pointed out the importance of long-term cooperation between the two institutions.
"The act of signing the Agreement today is the formalization of the cooperation between two important institutions in the health systems of Serbia and Montenegro and the continuation of the steady cooperation between the two institutes, the two ministries of health and our two countries," emphasized Ilić.
Director Mugoš pointed out that the Agreement represents a formal framework that will enable the two Institutes to work together, within the European framework, to improve activities for the benefit of both peoples.
The agreement on cooperation in the field of public health envisages the cooperation of expert teams of national institutes, the exchange of experiences and the strengthening of capacities, especially in the areas of health promotion, prevention and control of non-communicable and infectious diseases, as well as environmental protection.
Specific areas of cooperation will include joint activities to strengthen regional cooperation and participation in international projects.
