From the beginning of the year until June 23, Euromost activists recorded 5.620 citizens who left the north of Montenegro and headed for the EU in search of a better life, this NGO announced.
Compared to May 23, the number of citizens who left Montenegro increased by 1.020.
"The monthly number of citizens leaving our country this year did not increase in June, given that all forecasts were that in June, after the school year, that number would increase sharply, which, in our opinion, resulted in the call not to go to asylum in Germany and that everyone who leaves and applies for asylum will return," Euromost announced.
Although the mass exodus of citizens from the north began eight months ago, not a single citizen has been returned to Montenegro so far, except that according to the information we received from officials from the reception center in Braushvaing, only 20 of them have returned from this center, mostly single people. , point out from the NGO.
NGOs raise the question of whether the number of over 5.000 citizens is worrying for the Government and the Assembly, given that neither institution is still responding.
"They act as if nothing is happening. Is this number worrying for a country with a population of 620.000 and its region comprising 53 percent of the area and numbering 170.000 inhabitants. Perhaps for the Government and for the Assembly, this number of citizens who leave their own country and apply for asylum in other countries is not yet important, so it remains to be seen that maybe they don't wait for that number to double or triple, and only then discuss this problem ", it says at the end.
