Citizens of the capital city, especially in the suburban area, should clean the terrain on their properties, in order to prevent the occurrence of fires due to increased wind, warned today the head of the fire department Andrija Čađenović.

He told the MINA agency that there were no fires on the territory of Podgorica this morning, recalling that last night a small fire broke out in Kokoti and at the foot of Dajbabska gora.

According to him, the teams of the Fire Department arrived on the field very quickly and repaired the fires.

Čađenović appealed to the citizens, especially those in the suburban area, to mow their properties in order to prevent fires due to increased wind.

"Every day we appeal to citizens, both through the media and in personal communication, especially those in suburban areas to take care of rural properties, mow the grass and clean the grounds to prevent fires," he said.
