The citizens of Danilovgrad and Nikšić who travel to Podgorica by bus every day will have to suffer again from Monday because they will have to walk or take a taxi from Cetinje traffic lights to their destination, which will expose them to additional costs.
This was said by the bus operators from Danilovgarad who claim that they were informed that from June 15 they will not be allowed to drive passengers through the capital.
Such a decision came less than nine months after the same problems with using the route through Podorica were temporarily resolved.
One of the drivers of Novica Tomić told "Vijesta" that during the previous week, the buses from Danilovgrad and Nikšić were stopped by officers of the Municipal Police and verbally informed about the new rules.
"No one received a written decision, they just stopped us and informed us that from June 15, we must not import passengers beyond the Cetinje traffic lights, but that from there we must go to the bus station on Vojisavljevića Street, around Zabjela. They told us that those who go from the traffic lights to Delta, the Tobacco Factory, and then across the Crooked Bridge will be fined and that their vehicles will be confiscated," he said.
Chief of Municipal Police Goran Janković did not want to talk about the new decision yesterday
Tomić says that this will bring trouble to passengers, who will have to walk from the traffic light to their destination or pay a taxi, which will expose them to additional costs.
A citizen of Danilovgrad, who comes to Podgorica every day for work, told "Vijesta" that "the capital city is showing an inhumane attitude towards its neighbors with repeated persecution."
"Before making such decisions, do any of them think about how much they make the life of an ordinary person who does not have the money to drive to Podgorica every day? Maybe some of us who are forced to work in another municipality can barely spare the money for a bus ticket. If they forced us to take a detour, we would have to pay a taxi in addition to the ticket price, or we would have to walk from the traffic lights in Cetinje. to jobs. Have they asked themselves how, for example, a grandmother who takes a van to the Clinical Center for an examination will get to the doctor?", asked one of the passengers, who insisted on anonymity.
He added that he expects the local government to be involved in solving the problem that affects a large number of Danilovgrad residents.
Yesterday, in a telephone conversation, the Chief of the Municipal Police of the Capital City, Goran Janković, did not want to answer questions about the new decision.
He instructed the "Vijesti" journalist to send the questions by e-mail to the Bureau of the Capital City, but the answers had not arrived by the time this issue of the newspaper was closed.
