In the Biogradska gora National Park (NP), a Socio-Economic body (forum) was established today.
That body, as announced by JP National Parks of Montenegro, will aim to achieve full integration of the interests of the local population and business entities in management, development of existing and creation of new forms of partnerships, promotion of economic activities and operations of entities in "Biogradska Gora".
It is also planned that, by establishing a forum, the information of interested parties about the activities planned in the Park will be improved.
Previously, socio-economic forums were established for NP Lovćen and NP Durmitor, and in the future, the establishment of such bodies is also planned for Lake Skadar and Prokletije.
The Biogradska Gora National Park Forum was attended by representatives of municipalities, local tourist agencies, businesses, NGOs and local communities that gravitate to the area of the park.
The participants of the Forum emphasized the importance of the cooperation of the Park administration with all entities that operate in the area of this protected natural area with the aim of its valorization. An agreement was also signed on cooperation with representatives of municipalities, local tourist organizations, business entities and NGOs in the nomination process of NP "Biogradska gora" for obtaining the charter of the Europark Federation.
