The road to Pljevlja is two hours longer

Passengers on the Podgorica - Pljevlja route lost almost two hours yesterday, because the police twice stopped the bus from running.

Boban Radulović, co-owner of Pljevlja trucking company "Radulović", claims that they stopped in Danilovgrad for almost an hour because of the fire apparatus, and for the same time in Nikšić because of an extraordinary technical inspection. He pointed out that 50 passengers were waiting until it turned out that the bus was technically correct. Radulović said that the police issued a ticket to the driver in Danilovgrad, because the guarantee of the fire extinguisher was not visibly displayed.

One of the passengers, Dalibor Vuksanović, told "Vijesta" that the police officers said that they had the right to control the buses, even if they had documents on technical correctness, "because they could have been damaged on potholes in the road".

"I agree that it is necessary to check the correctness of the buses that transport a large number of people every day, but it should be announced that there are not 50 people waiting despite their obligations," Vuksanović believes.

He claims that he saw several other buses that the police sent for an extraordinary technical inspection.

Dissatisfied Radulović said that he had brought another bus, so that the passengers could continue their journey, if the disconnected one was faulty.

"Given that the excluded one was correct, they continued their journey to Pljevlja with him," said Radulović.

Passengers on long-distance lines ended up two days ago on the street in the Zabjelu neighborhood of Podgorica, after the intervention of the police. 15 buses were sent for an extraordinary technical inspection, 12 of which were defective.

The police then announced that the action was being carried out in several cities due to traffic safety and that it would be continued.
