It was announced from the Police Administration that in the action of controlling the technical correctness of the vehicles, it was determined that 15 of the 12 controlled buses were technically defective.
Passengers of intercity carriers from Danilovgrad and Nikšić were kicked out of the bus by the "Tehno maxa" store in Zabjelo, and the vehicles were sent for an extraordinary technical inspection.
Podgorica city transport buses started running regularly only around 13 pm, but the transport operators claim that the police let most of the buses complete the route and bring the vehicles to the service.
"Vijesti" journalists found two buses of Nikšić carrier "Glunex" at the Osmanagić service station in Zabjelo, which, they claim, left the passengers on the street on the orders of the police.
Mato Glušica from "Glunex" claims that he was driving to Nevesinje when, around eight in the morning, the police stopped him, asked the passengers to leave the vehicle and sent him for a technical inspection.
"We were able to take the vehicles to the service, after taking the passengers, now many are late to the place of arrival. One woman took her child to the doctor in Trebinje, and now I don't even know how she left," said Glušica.
Glušica claims that the police officers kicked out 36 workers from the bus, which was registered five days ago, who were on their way to work in Cetinje.
"These are the employees of the Faculty, the Music School, the city administration, for whom transportation to work was organized every morning, but this morning they were late," he said.
The same problem had the transporter from Danilovgrad, Željko Bogićević, who was stopped shortly after he left the station, around nine o'clock, and sent for a technical inspection.
"I have already lost two lines since this morning, waiting for my turn, and I don't know why. This is a shame. If only they had allowed us to transport passengers, so that we could organize so that citizens would have regular transportation to Danilovgrad," said Bogićević. "News".
The head of traffic at "BLT Podgorica" Janko Bulatović said that the police shut off half of their buses from traffic, which is why they did not run regularly towards Golubovci for a long time.
"If we have a certificate that we regularly service vehicles, every six months, why an extraordinary inspection. This is usually done in the event of an accident or if the police notices some malfunction, not like this without an explanation," said Bulatović.
He claims that the police officers, for the most part, were fair and allowed them to finish the ride and return for the technical inspection, and in rare cases the passengers left the bus and got their money back.
The people who performed the technical inspection claim that they are also in a difficult situation, because because of these inspections they had to cancel everything scheduled for today.
The police did not answer questions "Vijesti" so it remains unclear why so many buses were sent for technical inspection today and whether they will do a similar action tomorrow.

The Police Administration announced that the Department for Road Traffic Safety is conducting an action at the national level related to the control of the technical correctness of motor vehicles that participate in traffic.
"Since they transport a large number of passengers per day, including children, public transport vehicles in Podgorica were checked today, and according to the estimate, the traffic police sent 15 public transport buses for an extraordinary technical inspection due to a possible technical malfunction. During the extraordinary technical inspection, it was determined that 15 of the 12 controlled buses were technically defective," the Police Administration announced.
It is added that 12 buses were excluded from traffic, and that the officers of the Traffic Safety Police Station CB Podgorica filed appropriate misdemeanor charges against the legal entities that owned the buses.
"The action continues both in Podgorica and in other cities, all with the aim of contributing to greater road traffic safety and preventing the consequences that such irresponsible and illegal traffic behavior can cause," the police statement concludes.
