The summer tourist and fishing season in the National Park "Biogradska gora" started today. The number of guests on the opening day was lower than in previous years, but the company is confident that the coming months will be marked by good visits.
As the director of NP Saša Jeknić said, the prices in NP are the same as last summer. The ticket will cost 3 euros per person again this year. For organized groups and students, the price is 1,5 euros.
The annual entrance fee for local residents is 5, and the price of a sports fishing license is 20 euros, for the entire season, which lasts until October 1.
Rental of wooden hamaca is 8 euros per hour. Camping in tents from 3 to 5, and overnight in bungalows 10 euros per person.
Jeknić announced that visitors to the National Park will be able to enjoy a new offer this year - "cross country" and "free ride" bicycle paths, kayak rentals, a path where tourists can walk barefoot, a "reading forest"... Lack of restaurants, since the old building has been demolished in the meantime, due to the construction of a new one, the summer garden will compensate.
"Since June, the project "Bear Observation" has started, which is implemented in cooperation with representatives of the World Fund for Nature Protection, and local hunting societies are also involved. Through the Directorate of Public Works, we continued the construction of a new restaurant, the completion of which is planned for September. This year, we are embarking on the realization of a very important work on the replacement of the complete underground 10 kV cable with transformer station, from Kraljevo Kol to Biograd Lake, as well as the laying of the cable for public lighting and optics," announced the director of NP.
Jeknić also said that the construction of a water supply network from the source of Ganovac to Lake Biograd is planned.
"So that Mrthis year will be both a construction and a tourist year for us. We have also prepared several events, and I would single out the art colony "Biogradska gora through the eyes of an artist", the national championship in fly fishing, a souvenir fair... We will also try to realize the idea of introducing a regular bus line from the city to the lake, and we expect local and national help in this project tourist organizations, as well as the municipalities of Kolašin and Mojkovac," said Jeknić.
The fishing season has also started on the Kolasin rivers. After several years, fishing in the waters of that municipality is legal again, because the management of the rivers is entrusted to the Sports Fly Fishing Club in (SFFK) "Maniro".
The members of that club marked the opening of the season by cleaning the bed and shores of Tara and sport fishing in the areas. They announced the introduction of order and strict control on the rivers they manage.
"A hunting service was organized, with six employees. We will try to establish order and eradicate poaching, which in recent years has reached alarming proportions and devastated the fish stock," said Mile Lazarevic from SFFK "Maniro".
