The "No hate pill" campaign, launched by a group of students of the Faculty of Political Sciences with the aim of pointing out hate speech and other forms of extremism, started on March 30 and will last for 20 days.
The campaign mostly refers to students of political sciences, but also to students of other faculties, as well as to all those interested in this topic.
For now, the campaign is focused on addressing the target group online, through their official blog and social media profiles. Already after the first week, the students gained more than 500 followers on Facebook, but they also send their messages regularly via Twitter and Instagram (#nohatepill).
It is a collaboration between the Center for Social Research of the FPN and the American Drexel University under the auspices of the State Department.
Although it is a student initiative, this idea is already getting its own media space, as well as the support of professors and associates at the faculty, student organizations, and the next step is non-governmental organizations, local media in Montenegro and other universities in the region.
"Since this is a topic that concerns every society that aspires to democracy, and as a phenomenon it is still ubiquitous, awareness of the problem itself must first be awakened. By sending positive vibes and pointing to examples that have been covered in the media and have an undertone of hate speech, these young people will work to combat the mentioned problem.On their official site https://nohatepill.wordpress.com/ you can see what it's all about, and you can do it on social media," the statement said.
